History

The Club was founded in 1972 by four keen shooters: Sonny Cross, Jack Ferrero, T. Johsef and Tony Ferlazzo. They began on Tony Ferlazzo’s property in Dromana. In those days the trap house was bought out on a 6×4 trailer with the trap mounted. These humble beginnings were enough to get the club started, and in 1974 they were given some land by South East Water on Craigie Rd, Mount Martha (not where the Club is located today).

As housing approached the gun club, the water board thought it would be a better idea if we were moved towards the Mornington Peninsula Freeway. The club was rebuilt in 1989 and opened in 1990. The previous clubrooms stood the test of time until a ground-up overhaul in 2016.

The grounds are maintained in a pristine manner, and the club is run with pride and will remain that way into its future.
